melting

Yesterday the temperature got above the freezing point since the beginning of November. This may sound like a welcome event but for us it is not. The warm air has melted some of the snow causing puddles of mush and slurry to form everywhere. This is not fun to walk in. It also melted the snow off of the trees. Now the forest is not as beautiful. Last night the temperature dropped back down and all of the slurry froze. This is also not fun to walk in. Hopefully it will return to being cold and stay there.
